Titre de la thèse : The Environmental Impacts and Relational Dynamics of Animal and Animal Product Trades : A Case Study of Montreal and Quebec City, 1830-1914

Projet de thèse : Ma thèse vise à révéler de nouvelles dynamiques entre les villes portuaires coloniales de Montréal et de Québec à destination et en provenance de la Grande-Bretagne, de 1830 à 1914, à travers l’étude des relations humains-animaux et des relations spatiales. Mon projet s'inscrit dans les tendances d’histoire environnementale et des animal studies. C'est en examinant les échanges commerciaux et les développements industriels causés par la circulation des marchandises vivantes entrant et sortant des ports, tels que le bétail, que je souhaite révéler les impacts environnementaux cachés de ces routes commerciales impériales ainsi que le rôle joué par les non-humains dans le développement de ces routes.
